About the project

An apparel brand I started in 2024 around one idea: optimism, taken a little too far. Panglossian means hopeful to a fault, after Dr. Pangloss in Voltaire's Candide, who insists that all is for the best in the best of all possible worlds.

Each design borrows a graphic language people already know and points it at good news: a cigarette-style warning that the habit is highly addictive, a dictionary entry for excessive optimism, a song stuck on repeat.

I design every piece myself, from the logos to the files for screen printing and stickers.
